ZDYA Representative Participated in Women's Professional Conference
Russian Working Women Gather for Discussions on Social Partnership and Demographics
A two-day forum dedicated to working women from various regions across Russia took place in Moscow on March 25-26. Prominent figures from Moscow, Dagestan, Bashkiria, Zabaykalsky, Kuzbass, Krasnodar Krai, and more attended, including a delegation from Yakutia.
Held under the auspices of the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Russia, led by its current head, Sergey Chernogayev, the event aimed to explore pertinent issues affecting women in the country. The Yakutian delegation included representatives from Aldan, Mirny, Yakutsk, and Natalya Onoychuk, chairperson of the Yakutian railway workers' trade union committee.
Upon arrival at the gathering, Onoychuk shared insights about the discussions on the forum, which focused on legislative changes beneficial to women, the role of social partnership in addressing demographic concerns, and the best practices demonstrated by successful women's councils throughout Russia.
Prioritizing demographic issues, First Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation, Olga Bataliina, underscored the importance of comprehensive support for multiple births to make it the norm.
Legislative initiatives were touched upon with the participation of State Duma deputies Tatyana Larionova and Ekaterina Stenyakina. Larionova advocated for providing social support to large families without factoring in income, while Stenyakina showed a readiness to consider and work on proposals put forth by trade unions.
According to Onoychuk, the forum served as a collaborative platform for knowledge exchange and stimulation of new solutions intended to enhance the working and living conditions of women in Russia. The "Soft Power" award was presented to women leaders of trade unions within the forum's framework.
While there is no concrete information available about a "Second All-Russian Forum of Working Women" discussing Yakutian railways and Natalya Onoychuk, the closest related event identified is the "II BRICS Women’s Entrepreneurship Forum."
