The exhibit, Well, Well, Well: Picturing Wellness in the LUAG Collection, is currently on display at Lehigh University's Art Galleries (LUAG), and it's making waves in the community. Erica Dougherty '21 is reporting on the exhibit, which focuses on wellness and the arts.

The exhibit collaborates with partners such as the Shanthi Project and Artists for Change, and it showcases artworks from LUAG's collection that explore themes of wellness, health, and well-being. Stacie Brennan, LUAG's curator of education, explains the exhibit's focus on wellness.

Participation in artistic and cultural activities, as per Brennan, strengthens people's well-being and health in various ways. The exhibit provides an opportunity to initiate a dialogue about well-being, particularly in light of the COVID-19 lockdown.

The exhibit allows for the exploration of issues of health and well-being through a marriage of art and interactive programming. LUAG has embraced its role in wellness programming, offering virtual tours, lectures, and a video series focused on discovering wellness through art.

The exhibit features community activities like family workshops, creative journaling sessions, and Wellness Week contests. LUAG's plans include continued promotion of wellness.

The arts, as per Brennan, are an effective means for self-expression, communication, and coping, especially during challenging times. The exhibit promotes the concept of wellness, focusing on the dynamic relationship between mind, body, and spirit.

The exhibit comprises pieces that highlight different forms of wellness, such as medicine, emotion, and expressions of color. The exhibit is designed as a nod to the university's new College of Health.

Stacie Brennan hopes the exhibit continues to emphasize the relationship between art and well-being. By visiting Well, Well, Well: Picturing Wellness in the LUAG Collection, you'll not only enjoy a variety of artistic expressions but also gain insights into the importance of wellness in our lives.
