Tide designated as Main Sponsor for everywoman Entrepreneur Awards, set to bolster expansion of female-owned ventures
In a significant move to support female-led businesses, Tide, a leading business financial platform, has officially become the headline sponsor of the Everywoman Awards. The 2025 Tide everywoman Entrepreneur Awards, in association with BGF, will take place on 2nd December at The Londoner, Leicester Square.
This partnership marks Tide's commitment to supporting 250,000 female-led businesses in the UK. George Schmidt, Tide UK/Europe CEO, emphasized this commitment, stating, "We are thrilled to partner with everywoman in supporting women in business. Our year-long high-impact programme will equip female entrepreneurs with the skills and resources they need for business growth."
The awards aim to highlight the UK’s most inspiring female founders, providing them with a platform to share their stories, gain recognition, and connect with a network of peers and industry leaders. The partnership between Tide and everywoman goes beyond recognition, with a £20,000 grant being awarded to one outstanding female-founded small or medium-sized enterprise (SME), selected by a judging panel from among the finalists.
The Tide Everywoman partnership also includes a year-long programme of masterclasses, workshops, and the £20,000 grant for one exceptional female-founded SME. This initiative addresses some of the key challenges facing female entrepreneurs in the UK, including difficulties accessing finance, with only 2.8p of every £1 of equity investment going to fully female-founded businesses.
Maxine Benson MBE, and Karen Gill MBE, co-founders of everywoman, believe that sustained support and strategic investment are necessary to accelerate business growth for female entrepreneurs. They stated, "We are delighted to partner with Tide in our shared mission to empower more women to start, sustain, and scale their businesses."
The 2025 categories include The Balance Award, Brand of the Future, Entrepreneur for Good Award, International Expansion Award, The Next Level Award, Scale Up Award, Social Star Award, Solopreneur Award, Small Enterprise Award (sponsored by Tide), and Tech Innovator Award.
