Teenage daughter's tormentors allegedly placed mutilated sex doll in family's driveway, as stated by the distraught mother

In a shocking turn of events, Tanya Larsen, a mother from Phelps, New York, is demanding consequences for a group of juveniles who left sex toys in her family's driveway. The incident, described as "vulgar" and "disturbing" by Ontario County Sheriff David Cirencione, has left Larsen's daughter, who is now homeschooled due to mental health challenges caused by severe harassment, deeply affected.

The ordeal began with verbal assaults, including the use of racial slurs, from the roadway for hours. This latest incident was a culmination of years of bullying at Midlakes schools, which resumed recently after an argument on social media. The bullies even went as far as to tell the family to come outside around 1 a.m., at which point they found a giant, flesh-like sex doll, its cut off breasts and head, and a giant sex toy next to it in their driveway.

Cirencione's office is actively trying to locate the alleged bullies and their families, but the District Attorney's office and the County Attorney in Ontario County have stated that the current incident does not constitute a crime for a juvenile arrest. This leaves traditional criminal prosecution as an unviable option.

However, there are alternative legal and non-criminal enforcement options to consider. The affected family could potentially pursue a civil lawsuit for harassment, trespass, or intentional infliction of emotional distress. Civil cases have a lower burden of proof ("preponderance of evidence") compared to criminal cases ("beyond a reasonable doubt") and might provide some remedy such as damages or restraining orders.

Another option is to petition family or juvenile courts for protective orders or to initiate intervention programs for the juveniles, especially if harassment or disturbing behavior persists. Local municipalities may also have anti-harassment or disorderly conduct ordinances that might capture conduct not prosecutable under state criminal law.

Engaging with community mediation services or local youth outreach programs may help address the behavior informally and prevent escalation. Continue documenting any incidents and reporting them to law enforcement or child protective services, as repeated actions may eventually lead to charges or protective interventions.

A lawyer experienced in civil harassment, juvenile law, or local ordinances can advise on possible legal strategies specific to Ontario County. Larsen believes the bullies need to reflect on the damage they've caused to her family and hopes that these alternative measures will bring about a resolution.

The school district superintendent has denounced the behavior, but stated there's limited action the district can take for behavior that occurs away from the school campus. This incident serves as a stark reminder of the need for comprehensive bullying prevention and intervention strategies, both within and outside of the school environment.

  1. Tanya Larsen's family is considering a civil lawsuit for harassment, trespass, or intentional infliction of emotional distress, as the current incident does not constitute a crime for a juvenile arrest, and civil cases have a lower burden of proof compared to criminal cases.
  2. To address the persistent harassment and disturbing behavior, the affected family could potentially petition family or juvenile courts for protective orders or initiate intervention programs for the juveniles, and engage with community mediation services or local youth outreach programs, as these options might provide solutions outside of traditional criminal prosecution.
