Actress Rebel Wilson has announced the birth of her daughter, Royce Lillian, on Monday. Wilson welcomed Royce via surrogacy in November 2022.
Wilson, who is best known for her iconic role as Fat Amy in the Pitch Perfect film series (2012 - 2017), started her acting career by portraying Toula in the SBS comedy series Pizza. She graduated from Australian Youth Theater in 2003 and later appeared in the sketch comedy series The Wedge. In 2012, she also played roles in What to Expect When You're Expecting, Bachelorette, and Struck by Lightning.
Her breakthrough role in Pitch Perfect earned her awards and nominations, including the Teen Choice Award for Choice Movie Actress and an MTV Movie Award for Best Breakthrough Performance. Variety recognised Wilson as one of the "Top Ten Comics to Watch for 2013".
Prior to her career in acting, Wilson started her weight loss journey in 2020, aiming to become a mother. She began her journey inspired by the future needs of her child. In 2019, she visited her fertility doctor who suggested she adopt a healthier lifestyle and lose weight to improve her chances of getting her eggs.
Wilson's path to motherhood involved the complex legal and emotional processes of surrogacy in Australia. She has spoken about the surrogacy experience, highlighting feelings unique to using a surrogate versus pregnancy herself.
Profound love for her newborn daughter fills Wilson. She described the birth of Royce Lillian as a "beautiful miracle". Wilson thanked everyone involved in the process of starting her family, particularly the surrogate who carried and birthed Royce.
Wilson found love in Ramona Agruma, a fashion and jewelry designer. The two have been in a relationship since June 2021. Wilson recently denied speculation that they are engaged. Their relationship culminated in their 2024 marriage, marking a new chapter alongside motherhood.
Wilson has undergone a well-publicized weight loss journey as part of her personal growth and health focus over recent years. Professionally, she has been involved in acting and directing, with a notable focus on musicals as of 2025. Her personal journey has included transformative changes such as significant weight loss and embracing family life.
