Spotlight on Narcotics: City and Allies Host Exhibition, Dialogue, and Data Sharing
The city of Halle (Saale) is set to host the International Memorial Day for Deceased Drug Users on Monday, July 21, 2025. This nationwide event, organised by the AG Municipal Drug Prevention, drobs, and the SCHIRM project, aims to raise awareness about the need for drug policy reform and honour those who have lost their lives due to drug-related issues.
The thematic event will begin at 13:00 on the market square, where an exhibition titled "You're Off Duty, I'm Under Pressure" by the #KonsumRaumGeben initiative will be displayed on the second floor of the town hall. This exhibition features 20 posters based on anonymous stories from people from diverse backgrounds, offering a unique insight into the personal experiences of those affected by drug use.
In addition to the exhibition, the day will also include a panel discussion and an information day at the market square. The panel discussion will feature prominent participants such as Prof. Dr. med. Oliver Tüscher, Nadine Hilbich from drobs Halle, Alina Pannkoke from the SCHIRM project of the Halle Youth Workshop gGmbH/Initiative #KonsumRaumGeben, and Katrin Jäger, the city's drug coordinator.
