Psychiatric Institution Admitted After Alleged Spitting Incident

In an unusual incident on an incoming train from Hamburg, a man caused a commotion that required the intervention of the Federal Police Inspectorate in Kiel. The man, who refused to leave the train at Kiel station on September 18, 2025, resisted federal police officers and had to be removed by force.

According to reports, the man did not have a valid ticket for the journey and, when confronted by the officers, he refused a breathalyzer test and spat at them. This act resulted in two federal police officers being hit in the face by the man's spit.

The man's actions did not stop there. He was blocking and holding onto seats during the removal, causing further disruption. As a result of his behaviour, the man was admitted to a psychiatric facility after the incident.
