Proposal sought for directive shielding workers from ionizing radiation hazards via Commission submission.

The Lippe Police are offering a free E-bike block seminar in September, aimed at improving participants' skills and promoting road safety. The seminar consists of two sessions, each approximately 2.5 hours long, and will take place at the police station in Waldweg 20, 32760 Detmold.

Session 1, on September 3rd from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM, will begin with a theoretical introduction. Topics covered include requirements for a traffic-safe bike, helmet usage, visibility in traffic, basic riding techniques, and safety practices like proper mounting, dismounting, and braking. Problematic traffic situations in the area will also be ridden through to discuss correct E-bike behavior in traffic, such as behavior at traffic lights and pedestrian crossings. Individual questions will be addressed during the seminar.

Registration for the course is required before it begins and can be made by phone at 05231 609 4012 (Mo. - Fr. from 8 - 12) or by email at [email protected]. Participants should bring their own E-bike and helmet.

Session 2, on September 11th from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM, will focus on a group ride. This practical session is followed by the theoretical knowledge gained in the first session, providing participants with the opportunity to apply their new skills directly in traffic.

For further information about the E-Bike block seminar, contact can be made through the E-Bike rental point at Ferienbahnhof Fichtental in Prackenbach. You can reach them by phone at 01512 5328018 or 0171 6570771, or via their website, which provides additional details and booking options.

Participation in both sessions of the course is required for increased road safety. Scientific studies have shown that participants' skills can be improved in a multi-day training by applying theoretical knowledge directly in traffic. The seminar covers both theory and practical exercises, ensuring a comprehensive learning experience.
