Prior to the ambulance's arrival: Residents of Altai region are now equipped to administer initial aid

The picturesque Altai region is witnessing a surge of citizen-led medical assistance, all thanks to the implementation of the "Ready for Sanitary Defense" initiative. It's not just a passing trend; many residents are making it their mission to attend these life-saving first aid courses. Whether they're caring for chronically ill family members, or have previously found themselves in challenging situations where immediate help was needed, these courses offer a beacon of hope. Even beyond personal reasons, the scope of assistance expands, as reported by "Vesti-Altai," with course graduates able to offer remote support to the injured.

In an emergency, a quick response dispatcher can establish contact with a trained course participant in select situations, such as poisoning, choking, injuries, fainting, or instances of cardiac arrest or stopped breathing. By following the guidance of a doctor over the phone and diligently observing their actions, these helpers can make a real-life difference in critical moments.

The ultimate goal this year? Training upwards of 220,000 regional residents on the fundamentals of basic first aid. With over 10,000 individuals already having completed their training, as per the Ministry of Health, it seems the Emergency Response Team will have a whole lot of new recruits! 🦸‍♂️
