Partnership of Advantech and Taipei Blood Centre sets a trailblazing standard in digital service provision
In a company-wide call to action led by Eric Chen, the president of general management at Advantech, the Taiwanese technology company has partnered with the Taipei Blood Centre to revolutionise this year's blood donation event.
For the 13th edition of the "Neihu Thousand-Person Blood Donation", Advantech has introduced a suite of AIoT technologies designed to optimise the entire blood donation process. These technologies include a self-service ticketing and queuing system, digital signage management, cold chain management, industrial tablets, and an intelligent energy management system.
The self-service kiosks enable donors to efficiently check-in and join a queue, reducing wait times and streamlining the flow of donors. Digital signage is used to effectively communicate and manage donor information on-site, while cold chain management systems monitor and maintain the required temperatures for blood bags, ensuring safety and quality. Industrial tablets are employed for real-time data input and operational control, and intelligent energy management is utilised to optimise facility power use, contributing to sustainability.
These AIoT solutions have significantly improved operational efficiency and enhanced donor safety and convenience, providing a smoother and more modern donation experience. Advantech's president of general management, Eric Chen, expressed that the company is dedicated to promoting intelligent city services and healthcare, viewing these as crucial missions for fulfilling ESG social responsibilities.
On Advantech's Neihu Blood Donation Day, a large electric blood donation vehicle, the "Tucheng Central Rotary Bloodmobile," was brought on site. This collaboration leverages Advantech's expertise in intelligent IoT systems to support public health digital transformation, fulfilling ESG sustainability goals while delivering safer, more efficient blood donation services and management at the Taipei Blood Centre.
Advantech, a global contributor in IoT systems, has been supporting the "Neihu Thousand-Person Blood Donation" for 13 consecutive years. This year's event was launched on August 13, and the technologies introduced by Advantech have created a comprehensive digital management mechanism that optimises the entire blood donation process from donor registration through to backend blood bag cold chain management.
Science and health-and-wellness intersect in the context of the blood donation event, where Advantech, a technology company, leverages AIoT solutions to optimize the process, ensuring safety and quality. The technologies, including cold chain management, contribute to enhanced donor health and wellness.
Advancing beyond traditional blood donation processes, the partnership between Advantech and the Taipei Blood Centre marks a step towards technological innovation in the pursuit of smart city services and sustainable future, aligning with the company's ESG social responsibilities.
