Weil am Rhein's Nonnenholz Fitness Trail Set for Modernization

The city of Weil am Rhein is set to modernize its popular Trim-Dich-Pfad fitness trail in Nonnenholz, with the project scheduled for completion by autumn 2025. The renovation, managed by the city administration, aims to enhance the trail's accessibility and user-friendliness for fitness enthusiasts of all levels.

The renovation includes the installation of new fitness stations, featuring modern exercise equipment designed to support strength, endurance, coordination, and flexibility training. New additions to the trail will include Twister, Slackline, and Workout Bar. As of now, 12 out of 16 fitness stations have been updated, with the remaining stations scheduled to follow suit.

The outdoor fitness offering at the Trim-Dich-Pfad has been criticized for years due to damaged or unusable equipment. However, with the current renovation, the city is investing around 80,000 euros to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for visitors.

The new fitness stations in the Tatzelwurm area and on the former railway embankment will be equipped with exercise instructions and info boards, making it easier for users to understand and make the most of the new equipment.

The city and its green planning department have worked closely with sports enthusiasts on the renovation project, ensuring that the updated trail caters to a wide range of fitness needs and abilities. Upon completion, the renovated Trim-Dich-Pfad fitness trail will offer a modern, free outdoor training experience.

Regular inspections and annual checks by TÜV ensure the safety and maintenance of the trail. The city administration aims to complete the renovation by mid-2026, transforming the Trim-Dich-Pfad fitness trail into a modern and inviting fitness destination in Weil am Rhein's Nonnenholz.
