Man, 42, Causes Chaos in Trierer Straße, Faces Charges

A 42-year-old Cologne resident caused chaos on Wednesday afternoon in Trierer Straße, Trier. The man, whose name has not been disclosed, tested positive for amphetamines alongside a substance found in his possession.

The incident began around 12:52 PM when the suspect started jumping in front of moving vehicles, causing traffic disruptions. He also threw a soda can at the passing cars, damaging at least one mailbox. Police officers arrived at the scene and ordered the man to leave, but he defied their orders by standing in front of an approaching bus. Eventually, he was taken into custody and transported to the police station in Euskirchen. During a search of his belongings, a plastic bag containing a white paste was discovered.

The 42-year-old faces charges for property damage, creating a traffic hazard, and violating narcotics laws. His actions resulted in disruption and potential danger to other road users.
