Investor Janna Ensthaler continues to back porridge infused with collagen, disregarding doubts.

In the heart of entrepreneurship, Mirjam and Ellen Spinnenhirn, a dynamic mother-daughter duo, ventured into the "Lions' Den" with their innovative idea. A glance at their product line revealed cans of collagen, sparking initial doubts among the investors.

But they had more than just collagen up their sleeves. The duo introduced a nifty, on-the-go porridge they named Corridge. This genius invention encapsulates 10 grams of collagen, making healthy breakfasts a breeze for those constantly on the move.

Mirjam, a long-time collagen user, noted its benefits for bones, joints, and skin. She would add it to her usual porridge, and voilà - the inspiration for Corridge! However, their product faced some criticism during the show. At 2.99 euros per serving, investors found it pricey, and the coconut and banana flavors were subtler than desirable.

Mirjam and Ellen concede that some criticisms were valid, but the high-quality collagen they use justifies the cost. As Ellen put it, "If I buy a sandwich from a bakery, I pay more. And Corridge is healthier and keeps you full for longer."

Janna Ensthaler, a potential investor, appreciated the delicate taste and saw potential for further improvement - perhaps incorporating additional nutritional supplements like zinc or omega 3. Intrigued, she offered to invest half a million euros, but with a 30% stake - a proposition the founders accepted.

Ensthaler didn't just drop the cash but also invested her expertise in the company. More than a year has passed, and Corridge is available in retail outlets, Amazon, and the Shop Apotheke. The duo plans to amp up online sales through their official website.

In the pipeline, Corridge aims to offer a versatile range of porridges tailored to specific needs - from athletes to those seeking improved skin and hair health. Although a product with these features isn't available yet, it's currently in development.

Post-show, Corridge went on sale in March 2024. This high-protein, collagen-infused porridge, both gluten-free and sugar-free, has been making waves in the market due to its unique selling proposition.

Currently, the founders continue to run the day-to-day operations and have plenty of ideas for future expansion. They're open to collaborations and venture capital to realize their vision - the ultimate goal being to bring Corridge to places where it can truly make a difference, such as motorway service stations, hotels, hospitals, and nursing homes. Money, they say, is the key, according to Mirjam Spinnenhirn.
