Giessen's Senior Fair 2025: 'Growing Older Together' - Free, Inclusive, and Engaging
Giessen is set to host an inclusive and engaging Senior Fair on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at the Congress Hall. The event, themed 'Growing Older Together - Informed, Engaged, and Active', aims to promote a new culture of aging and provide a differentiated representation of older people. Organized by the 'Round Table - Aging in Giessen', the fair is free to attend and fully accessible, with sign language interpreters available upon request.
The Giessen Senior Fair 2025 will kick off with an opening ceremony led by Social Affairs Commissioner Francesco Arman and the Giessen Senior Choir. Throughout the day, visitors can explore an exciting framework program that includes dance classes, drinks, and snacks in the bistro. The 'Engagement Street' will showcase local initiatives and associations, inviting seniors to participate in their offers. Professional service providers will also be on-site, offering consulting services and helpful tips.
The fair will feature a diverse range of activities promoting independence and mobility, such as a Repair Café, Rollator Parkour, and bike rickshaw tours. An exhibition will display local providers offering information and services on health, leisure, care, daily living aids, safety, precautions, and funerals.
The Giessen Senior Fair 2025, taking place from 10 am to 4 pm, encourages seniors, their relatives, and interested professionals to attend. By fostering engagement, providing information, and promoting active aging, the fair seeks to create a more inclusive and supportive community for Giessen's senior population.
