Fashion House Embraces Blood Plasma Donation Process

In the heart of the university town of Marburg, a unique collaboration between CSL Plasma and Ahrens shopping house is making waves. This partnership, which benefits all parties involved, brings together a central, accessible location with vital plasma donation services.

For CSL Plasma, partnering with Ahrens provides an ideal urban site—situated within the shopping house—that enhances visibility and accessibility for plasma donors. This, in turn, helps to attract more donations, which are crucial for medical therapies.

The shopping house, Ahrens, reaps the rewards as well. Hosting the CSL Plasma Center draws additional foot traffic to their premises, potentially increasing visits to other stores and services within the shopping house. By taking on this community-focused initiative, Ahrens strengthens its role as a pillar of Marburg.

The residents of Marburg also stand to gain from this partnership. With the CSL Plasma Center centrally located, plasma donation becomes more convenient, encouraging more residents to contribute plasma that is essential for treating various medical conditions. This, in turn, supports public health.

Damaris Kieckhöfer, the center manager, shared that this partnership is a win-win situation for both shopping and plasma donation. The plasma donation center, operated by CSL, requires 1,200 donations per year to supply medication for one person with hemophilia.

To make the donation process even more accessible, individuals can now register for plasma donation using an app. This digital approach streamlines the process, making it easier for potential donors to contribute.

With this partnership, the city of Marburg now offers its citizens a seamless shopping and blood plasma donation experience. CSL, with its existing presence in the town, considers this collaboration a "home game," reflecting their commitment to the community. This synergy creates a mutually beneficial relationship that benefits all parties involved.
