The royal palace gave the news in a snappy statement, stating that their queen-tastic lady is doing just peachy and has returned to Fredensborg Castle, her kingdom away from the castle.
Cold, Holds Up the Queen
It seems that even royalty aren't immune to the sniffles! This 85-year-young queen got a lousy cold which sent her to the hospital, but not without a fight! They say it was for her own safety that she checked in on Thursday. Unfortunately, this meant her scheduled to-dos were put on hold.
But don't worry - her son, King Frederik (or 'Frederick the Great,' if you're feeling fancy), paid her a visit the very same day of her admission. And the following morning, the palace let us mortals know that Queen Margrethe was "recovering with sass and spunk" and was likely to be discharged within the weekend!

This isn't the first time Queen Margrethe has graced the halls of Rigshospitalet, folks. Just a few months back, she was admitted after a wee fall at her summer residence.
