Cult-affiliated swimming pool in proximity to Karlsruhe temporarily shut down
The Albgaubad Swimming Pool in Ettlingen, near Karlsruhe, is undergoing an extensive renovation project that is taking longer than initially anticipated. Originally slated for a sooner reopening, the renovation work has revealed additional issues and modernization needs, causing a delay.

The pool, which is now 50 years old, is being meticulously maintained and repaired to preserve it for the future. During the renovation process, the entire pool is being cleaned, including hundreds of tiles, locker areas, lounge areas, and relaxation areas.
The swimming pool offers attractions such as a climbing wall directly at the water's edge. Despite the current closure, the employees are working diligently to reopen the swimming pool as soon as possible.
The construction work in the sauna area is part of the renovation process. The reopening of the Albgaubad is contingent upon the completion of renovation and cleaning work. The city's utility company is prepared to spend up to 200,000 euros for the renovation work.
