Ingredients (7)
- 1 pint fresh blackberries, plus 12 extra berries for garnish
- 5 oz (148ml) Simple Syrup (see Game Plan note), chilled
- 1 (750ml) bottle dry rose wine, chilled
- 9 oz (255ml) vodka, chilled
- 6 oz (177ml) freshly squeezed lime juice (from about 9 medium limes), chilled
- Ice
- 12 lime slices, thinly sliced (for garnish)
Blackberry Simple Syrup Recipe (Optional - if you don't have store-bought simple syrup)
- 1 cup (240ml) water
- 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
- 1 cup (140g) blackberries
Instructions
- If you're making Blackberry Simple Syrup (Optional):
- In a saucepan, combine the water, sugar, and blackberries. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
- Lower the heat and simmer the mixture for about 5-10 minutes. Allow it to cool, then strain the syrup through a fine-mesh sieve to remove solids. Chill before using.
- Place the pint of blackberries and chilled Simple Syrup in a large jug. Muddle them together until the fruit is crushed and juicy but not thoroughly pulverized. This will take roughly a minute.
- Add the wine, vodka, and lime juice to the muddled mixture. Stir it up to ensure all the ingredients are well combined.
- Use a fine-mesh strainer to filter the mixture into a punch bowl. Discard the solids.
- Add a generous block of ice to the punch bowl. Pour the cocktail into glasses filled with ice and garnish them with a blackberry and a lime slice.
