It's called Tuna-ified Mashed Potatoes and it's best enjoyed on the couch under a blanket, ideally with a spoon. It yields a big ol' bowl and leftovers heat up nicely too.

Yield: One massive bowlDifficulty Level: Child's playTotal Time: Approximately 20 minutes, with approximately 10 minutes of active time.

Ingredients (7):- 500g of potatoes, peeled and chopped into equal-sized pieces- 2 tablespoons of butter- 1/4 cup cream- 150g of grated cheese, any melty type you've got on hand- 1 tin (100-200g) of tuna in oil (preferably olive oil, but any oil will do - NOT in brine or water)- 1 medium onion, finely chopped- Salt, pepper, and dried red pepper flakes, if desired (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Boil the potatoes in salted water until they're soft and tender, which typically takes 10-15 minutes depending on their size.
  2. Start mashing the potatoes, then mix in the cream and butter until you reach your desired smoothness (or if you prefer a more chunky texture, adjust as needed).
  3. Stir in the tuna (along with the oil if it's olive oil, but drain the oil if it's a different type), chopped onion, and grated cheese. Season to taste. You may even need to microwave the mix briefly to ensure the cheese melts and the entire dish is piping hot.
  4. Chow down!
