Connecting the Dots: Our Essential Interdependence Unveiled
On September 9, 2025, Community Development Halton (CDH) will be hosting a special event in Burlington. The evening will commence at 6:00pm with a screening of the Canadian documentary 'The Great Disconnect'.
This thought-provoking film explores themes of isolation and connection as critical health issues, and asks questions about individualism and communal living. The screening is a celebration of CDH's 41 years of connecting community.
Following the screening, a panel discussion will take place. The panel will feature local research, solutions, and shared stories, with guests from CDH members, including Elizabeth Wells from Our Kids Network, Steven Barrow from CDH, Hanadi Al-Masri from HMC Connections, and Michelle Sparling from Just be You. The panel will discuss bridging disconnection to belonging in Halton.
Doors for the event will open at 5:30pm, and registration is required but free. Refreshments will be available at the event.
