Children with heart disease given the chance to cycle in Dusseldorf at the PSD HerzFahrt 2025 event
In July 2025, PSD Bank Rhein-Ruhr will once again host the "Herzfahrt" cycling event, an annual occasion that brings together individuals from all walks of life to support a noble cause while promoting physical activity. This year's motto is "Together for little fighters' hearts".
Anyone can participate, regardless of whether they are customers of PSD Bank Rhein-Ruhr. To join, you typically register via their official homepage. The event runs over several days, with participants cycling and recording their kilometers via a dedicated app.

Participants use the official app linked to the Herzfahrt event to track their cycling distances. The app automatically records the kilometers cycled once activated during your ride, syncing the data to your participant profile. It's important to note that participants must select PSD Bank Rhein-Ruhr as the participating bank in the app and must activate location services in the app permanently.
The funds raised during the event will be donated to the pediatric cardiology departments of the University Hospital Düsseldorf and the Clinic Dortmund. For every kilometer cycled, PSD Bank will donate 33 cents. Prof. Dr. Ertan Mayatepek, Director of the Clinic for General Pediatrics, Neonatology, and Pediatric Cardiology at the University Hospital Düsseldorf, has expressed his appreciation for the financial support from the event.
The Düsseldorf EG and several employees of the pediatric cardiology departments in Düsseldorf and Dortmund are also participating in the event. Moritz Kukuk, a defender of the Düsseldorf EG, states that his team is actively involved in the PSD HerzFahrt and brings team spirit and muscle power.
Notable participants include Sebastian Lucke, a speed climber, and Sara Strauss, a field hockey player, both from the Olympic promotion team of D.SPORTS. Lucke expresses that every kilometer counts in the PSD HerzFahrt, making it incredibly motivating. Strauss views the event as a perfect opportunity to do something meaningful in a sporting way.
