Charity Run for Autism: All residents of Astana encouraged to participate in a charitable run event
Get ready, folks! The 3rd annual Run for Autism charity event is set to storm Astana on April 26, aligning with Autism Awareness Month. This energetic event will help open support hubs for kids with autism and various mental disabilities, all thanks to the diligent work done by the 'Bolashaq' foundation.
Since 2023, over 3,351 individuals—including more than 200 extraordinary children with special needs—have taken part in Run for Autism, raising a whopping 20 million tenge in just two years! The funds gathered have enabled the installation of 10 support cabinets in Astana's kindergartens, benefiting over 80 incredible children with autism and diverse developmental challenges.
This year's run isn't just about autism; it's about mental health in general, covering a wide range of concerns such as depression, anxiety, and various mental health conditions. Exciting distances of 1 km, 2.5 km, 5 km, and 10 km await participants, with a fun sports relay, 'Happy Starts,' prepared especially for children with special needs.
A mix of professional athletes, runners, bloggers, children with special needs, parents, and educated professionals will gather for this momentous occasion. There'll be some amazing prizes up for grabs, including a dreamy trip for two to Dubai, a World Class fitness center membership, comfortable accommodations at Hilton Astana, and a GALAXY S24 smartphone, among other exciting goodies!
In addition to Astana, this inspiring event will reach multiple cities across Kazakhstan, including Almaty, Kostanay, Karaganda, Zhanaozen, Atyrau, Oral, Petropavlovsk, Semey. Moreover, participants from London and Istanbul have registered, making this a truly international affair!
