Blood Drive: Encouraging Community Members to Donate Blood
23rd Edition of the “Braços Dado por uma Boa Causa” Blood Donation Campaign Set for 2025
In 2025, the 23rd edition of the "Braços Dado por uma Boa Causa" blood donation campaign will take place at three locations in Portugal: Oeiras Parque, Strada Outlet (Odivelas), and Braga Parque.
The blood donation drives at Oeiras Parque and Strada Outlet will happen between July 28th and 30th, from 10:00 to 19:00, while the drive in Braga will occur on August 13th and 14th, from 9:00 to 18:00.
To be eligible for blood donation, individuals must meet certain criteria. They must be between 18 and 65 years old (or up to 60 for first-time donors), weigh over 50 kg, and lead a healthy lifestyle.
The campaign is a joint effort by the Mundicenter Group and the Portuguese Institute of Blood and Transplantation (IPST), aiming to promote solidarity and help save lives. The initiative also seeks to highlight the urgent need for blood donations and the importance of maintaining safe blood reserves.
The campaign encourages the communities of Oeiras, Odivelas, Braga, and visitors to participate in this simple yet powerful act of kindness. Shopping malls, such as Oeiras Parque, Strada Outlet, and Braga Parque, are prime locations for mobilizing the community around this cause.
By donating blood, individuals can make an immeasurable impact on the common good. The Mundicenter Group and IPST reinforce their commitment to raising awareness about the importance of blood donation.
