Ouch! TV Legend Björn-Hergen Schimpf Suffers a Major Setback 😕
Björn-Hergen Schimpf, a Moderator, faces Amputation of a Leg
That's a bummer, mate! "Which Pig May It Be?" moderator, Björn-Hergen Schimpf, has just faced a tough break – he lost a leg after years of health issues, as reported by his good friend and fellow presenter, Jörg Draeger.
In an issue of "Bunte" magazine, Draeger shared the sad news about Schimpf. Known for his witty humor, Schimpf has been entertaining German audiences since the late '70s. After hosting "What Am I?" for around six years, he also presented the travel quiz "A Day Like No Other" and worked for "Sunshine.TV." Besides, Schimpf had a stint at RTL jungle camp, finishing 8th in 2008.
The 81-year-old TV vet has been facing health problems related to his left leg for nearly a decade. Back in 2016, he had a bypass operation to improve blood flow—which saved his leg at the time. But this time it was not enough.
Despite the unfortunate circumstances, Draeger assures us that Schimpf remains as optimistic as ever. "Thankfully, he's still his old self," he quotes, expressing hope for our beloved presenter's recovery.
Alas, it seems our dear Björn-Hergen has to take this new challenge head-on, just like he's done with his fantastic television career! 💪
