Starting this month, Apple Fitness+ is set to offer an exciting array of new features and collaborations that will surely energize and inspire its users.

Collaborations with Celebrities and Influential Personalities

The Amber Ruffin Show host, Amber Ruffin, and Primetime Emmy Award winner Sheryl Lee Ralph are among the celebrated personalities joining Apple Fitness+. Ruffin will be featured in the Time to Walk series, while Ralph will make an appearance in the Fitness+ workouts.

Jason Segel, known for his role in How I Met Your Mother, and Nathan Chen, the three-time world champion and 2022 Olympic champion figure skater, will also be part of the Time to Walk episodes. Other notable figures joining the Time to Walk series include José André́s, Spanish chef and founder of the World Central Kitchen, and Colman Domingo, who gained acclaim for his role in Euphoria.

Germany's biggest star, Nina Hoss, known for her role in the critically acclaimed film Tarra, will also be featured in the Fitness+ workouts.

New Workout Types and Themes

Apple Fitness+ is introducing a brand-new workout type: Kickboxing, starting January 9. For those seeking a more serene experience, a new meditation theme called Sleep will be available on the same date.

The Artist Spotlight series is expanding with new workouts featuring music by Beyoncé, starting on January 9. Additionally, Apple Fitness+ will roll out two additional Artist Spotlight offerings: the Foo Fighters on January 16 and Bad Bunny on January 23.

New Collections and Programmes

Two new Collections, "6 Weeks to Restart Your Fitness" and "Level Up Your Core Training," will be available on Fitness+ starting January 9 and January 23, respectively.

Moreover, Fitness+ is introducing a new program, Introduction to Meditations for Sleep, which will launch with four 20-minute meditations titled "Quiet Your Mind," "Relax Your Body," "Appreciate Your Day," and "Visualize Rest."

Device Compatibility and Subscription Details

To enjoy these new features, users must ensure their devices are running the latest software version. Fitness+ requires iPhone 8 or later with iOS 16.1, or Apple Watch Series 3 or later with watchOS 7.2 or later paired with iPhone 6s or later with iOS 14.3 or later.

Apple Fitness+ is available for $9.99 (US) per month or $79.99 (US) per year, and can be shared with up to five family members.

SilverSneakers Partnership

Starting this month, SilverSneakers, the nation's leading fitness program for older adults, will offer members a Fitness+ subscription at no additional cost through select Medicare Advantage plans.

Availability and Offers

Fitness+ is available in 21 countries, and three months of Apple Fitness+ are included for customers who purchase certain Apple devices.

Please note that information regarding the three new trainers joining the Apple Fitness+ team in January was not available at the time of this article's publication.
