Dane, who portrayed Dr. Mark 'McSteamy' Sloan in the hit medical drama, was diagnosed with ALS in April. Despite the incurable nature of the disease, Dane remains resolute, stating, 'This is not the end of my story.' In June, he appeared on 'Good Morning America', revealing he still has one functioning arm.
The actor, married to Rebecca Gayheart and father to two daughters, has set personal goals. He wants to see his children graduate, get married, and have families of their own.
